The Worcester Pilgrim

was a great success at Worcester Cathedral during its short run in October 2006.  Some audience reactions:

“An outstanding and memorable event.”

“Humorous and heartbreaking, and definitely not a long enough run—the world should see it.”

“I hope that it will not be the last we see of it, as it deserves to live on in future performances.”

The Shakespeare Walk

is now in its thirteenth successful year!

During two hours of story-telling you will come to Shakespeare in his home town through the eyes of one of three actors:  Jonathon Milton, (actor, scholar, and original designer of ‘The Walk’), Stan Pretty MBE, (actor, broadcaster and director), or Myself, (actor, Stratford resident, and veteran of the RSC, The New Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.)  Between the three of us we bring you over 100 years’ practical experience of trying to get to grips with that extraordinarily elusive man, Mr Will Shakespeare.

Private Parties can book me as their guide by coming to rob@lister.spacomputers.com

‘Robert was superb and his passion for William Shakespeare and the tales of Stratford infectious.’

WINTER WORDS

A programme of readings and anecdotes

on the theme of ‘Winter’.

Compiled by Mark Carey and myself, it had its first, (very successful!), outing in January, 2008

It runs for an hour-and-a-half including one interval, and is suitable for intimate spaces with audiences of up to 100.

Please bear us in mind when booking your entertainments for Christmas or New Year.

‘Having been force-fed Shakespeare at school, I’d managed to steer clear, but I think you might have rehabilitated me!’

The Brome Project

Workshops with a Difference!

Royal Holloway, University of London, is developing an annotated edition of the works of Ben Jonson’s contemporary, Richard Brome.

It is planned to publish the edition electronically, and to accompany the annotations with video-clips of actors developing Brome’s ideas in a workshop situation.  The project is expected to come to fruition in 2009.

Project Director:              Prof. Richard Allen Cave

Project Assistant:            Dr. Eleanor Lowe

Workshop Director:         Brian Woolland
